Ethical Labour Statement

Ethical Labour Statement

Introduction
Oliver Spritz is committed to preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labor, and child labor within our business and supply chains. We recognize that the fashion and apparel industry carries inherent risks of labor exploitation, and we take our responsibility seriously to ensure ethical practices throughout.

This statement is made pursuant to the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and similar international standards, and it outlines the steps we are taking to prevent modern slavery within our operations.

Our Business

Oliver Spritz is a brand focused on designing and delivering high-quality apparel for a global audience. While our operations are currently small-scale, we work with suppliers and manufacturers across different regions and understand the importance of ensuring transparency and accountability in every stage of production.

Our Policies

We are committed to upholding human rights and ensuring fair treatment of all workers involved in our business. Our key policies include:

  • No Forced or Child Labor: We do not tolerate forced labor, child labor, or bonded labor in any form.

  • Supplier Standards: We expect suppliers to comply with all local labor laws, international labor standards, and human rights obligations.

  • Ethical Sourcing: We aim to source materials and products responsibly, with a focus on sustainability and ethical labor practices.

  • Whistleblowing & Grievances: We encourage suppliers, employees, and stakeholders to report any concerns related to modern slavery, with assurance of confidentiality.

Risk Assessment

We acknowledge that risks of modern slavery can exist in:

  • Raw material sourcing (e.g., cotton production).

  • Manufacturing and garment assembly.

  • Logistics and shipping across borders.

We are taking steps to identify and assess these risks in our supply chain by communicating directly with our suppliers and requiring transparency about their practices.

Due Diligence

As part of our commitment, we:

  • Ask suppliers to confirm their compliance with ethical labor standards.

  • Review supplier practices before entering into agreements.

  • Intend to implement a formal Supplier Code of Conduct as we expand, ensuring written commitments to ethical practices.

Training & Awareness

We recognize that awareness is key in identifying and preventing modern slavery.

  • The founder and core team are actively educating themselves on global labor risks in the fashion sector.

  • As our business grows, we will provide formal training to employees and partners on identifying and addressing risks of exploitation.

Measuring Effectiveness

To ensure progress, we will monitor:

  • The transparency of suppliers regarding their labor practices.

  • Any reports or concerns raised through our grievance process.

  • The successful implementation of our planned Supplier Code of Conduct.

Our statement will be reviewed annually, and we are committed to improving our processes year by year.
